Mini Europe - Wies, Germany

The Wallfahrtskirche (Wies) or also known as pilgrimage church is beatifully situated on a gently sloping hill. This marvellous example of Rococo architecture from the mid-18th century is known for its "illussionsmalerei", a special painting technique whereby an optical illusion effect of relief is achieved.
